Merritt, Attica, and Oakshade Upcoming Targets for "The Sniper"

The final weekend of May started at Moler Raceway Park in Mt. Orab, Ohio at the 2nd Annual Freedom Fighter's 40, paying $2,500 to the evenings feature winner. "The Sniper" continued his mastery of Moler Raceway Park, setting the overall fast time of the evening in qualifying. Starting sixth in the fast car dash, Chinn wasted no time coming to the front, finishing a close second place to race winner Josh McGuire. Rolling off from the outside pole position in the forty lap feature,Chinn would fall back to third at the drop of the green flag. The next twenty laps, the Erwin Chrysler Dodge Jeep / Sugar Creek Packing / 1 Shot Graphics /MasonRacin/AWP of Ohio / Dargie Powered / Rayburn Race battled back and forth with Josh McGuire for the second position. With the laps running out Chinn finally cleared McGuire for second, and set his sights on race leader Steve Casebolt. Unfortunately for "The Sniper" time would run out, and he would have to settle for a respectable second place finish.

On Saturday, May 30th,  Chinn Motorsports made their way to Union, Kentucky to the Florence Speedway for the 23rd Annual Ralph Latham Memorial. Over forty of the nations best drivers made their way to the Lucas Oil Late Model Series event that paid $10,000 to the winner. After making the feature event through the consolation event, "The Sniper" started near the tail end of the field for the fifty lap race. Living up to his nickname,Chinn went to the highside of the speedway and put on a passing exhibition, gaining ten positions before the halfway mark. As the track took rubber and slowed down, so did Chinn's momentum, and the Bradford, Ohio young gun settled into a twelfth place finish.

This past weekend "The Sniper" had his targets set on Eldora Speedway for the "Dirt Late Model Dream," one of the nation's crown jewel events. After laying down a solid qualifying lap, a pill was drawn to align the heat race starting order. Starting sixth,Chinn fought hard on a track that provided limited passing opportunities to finish fifth. In the consolation race "The Sniper" battled a ill handling car to finish fifteenth, ending his 2009 Dream on a sour note.

Chinn Motorsports hope's to turn things around this Wednesday night as the team makes their first ever appearance at the Merritt Speedway for the "Who55." Top drivers from the Ohio/Michigan region are expect to be on hand to wage war for the $5500 check.  After taking Thursday night off, "The Sniper" will return to action Friday night at Attica Raceway Park. Chinn lead from flag to flag and dominated all night long on his way to a feature victory the last time he was at Attica. On Saturday nightOakshade Raceway Park will host it's annual Barney Oldfield Memorial, paying $4,500 to the winner. "The Sniper" Wayne Chinn was victorious on opening night at Oakshade Raceway Park this season, can he do it again?
